From the President
The end of July is rapidly approaching which means it is 10/31 Consortium’s birthday! We were founded on July 29, 2010, so we are about to turn 13 years old. We’re officially teenagers.
It’s hard to believe we’ve been around that long. It seems like yesterday that we had our first meeting at the Hilton Hotel downtown. The energy in the room was incredible. Everyone was excited about starting a Halloween Parade in Baton Rouge and looking forward to making a difference in our community while having spooky fun. Since that day, we’ve grown to a multi-day festival and have given out over 5,000 costumes to children who otherwise would not have one. We hope you are as proud of this organization’s accomplishments as we are!
We hope to recreate that energy at our upcoming Annual Meeting. Held each year on our birthday, the 10/31 Consortium Annual Meeting is the perfect opportunity to hear from your Board of Directors and get involved in the krewe. You can also nominate yourself or a fellow member to serve on the 2024 Board of Directors! There’s lots of fun and philanthropy to come, and we’d love to have you participate. Please join us and bring a friend! If you cannot attend for any reason, please complete and send in this PROXY FORM so that we can meet a quorum and conduct business as needed.
Lastly, I would like to personally thank everyone who came to our Storage Unit Clean-up event yesterday. We had approximately 20 volunteers that made quick work of this enormous job. We are so excited to be organized and prepared for the Halloween season which officially kicks off on August 1.
Happy Haunting,
Corey Tullier
